The need for nutrition friendly foods in a world teaming population

The need for nutrition friendly food is a quest that can never be neglected if we are to have a sustainable well-driven food structure that can take up the malnutrition that plague the world today.

The world population is increasingly on the rise every passing day so much that there had been a high demand for more nutrition friendly foods to go around the ever-rising teaming population, but the food system has failed to this regard. The way foods are being produced around the world doesn’t take into consideration the health of the populace. Over the years, there have been several recommendations from experts from all corners of the earth regarding the type of foods we should consume as this can either lead one to experience an advanced health condition if one consume the wrong type of food or help to foster one’s health. Therefore, it has always been a threading matter on the news for individuals to always go for foods that will help to promote their health rather than opting for foods that will have advanced health condition on their health.

It is sad to say that irrespective of the so many advances made in the Agricultural system around the world, a huge proportional number of individuals of up to eight hundred million still live on hunger daily. This is really an alarming figure so to say! Up to 45% of all deaths of children that occur daily is connected to malnutrition. This huge percentage will make one think if at all the world Agricultural system is going backward or forward. So many persons numbering up to hundreds of millions every year have been discovered to be suffering from the lack of required micronutrients needed in their diets. This we can say is enough to destroy a whole society if we do not rise to the task of producing foods that can help to contribute to our health. This is not a one man’s responsibility. Individually, we can be of help in the quest of contributing to sustainable Agricultural products that will help get the teaming population out the malnutrition condition it finds itself. The fact is that there is no country in the world whose citizens do not in one way or the other suffer from low-quality diets, and malnutrition is now considered the number one health threatening factor to our health.

Most of the under nutrition, as well as over nutrition issues seen around the world, is said to be because of either the foods consumed lacking in certain important nutrients such as minerals and vitamins or they are too rich in certain nutrients like saturated sugar or fats. Medical practitioners and dieticians have always recommended nutrition friendly food as a means of reducing calories and decreasing our weights, and so many government sponsored campaigns have over the years promoted a healthy eating routine to the populace.

The question we need to ask at this point is whether if these foods are available to those that truly in need of them? If they are available, can they really be afforded? To ensure that there is an availability of nutritional foods to the population and to ensure everyone has access to these foods at all time, the whole food system must be properly restructured. Here, it won’t be wise to only focus on the producers of these foods such as the farmers, but to make sure that the whole system ranging from consumers to producers are properly sanitized, only then we can be sure to make progress in the food system. Without a well-planned nutrition lay down processes and procedures on our food system, in no time, the world would be said to face serious setbacks in the quest to advance and restructure the system. This may end up in a fruitless effort and aspirations that are nothing short of dangerous health conditions.

Hence, building a sustainable food system is the only sure way that can make us live a healthy type of lifestyle now and years to come.
